Kathryn Ramsey comes from a family of artists, as many of the artists do on our tour.  She says:   I come from a family of artists.  {M}y Mother was an out standing artist, and my sister is, and several others in the family.

SAAC's FB:  Kathryn Ramsey, a native of Fresno, California, will be on the tour showcasing her creations made from watercolors and vibrant colored pencils. Kathryn moved to Mississippi when she was 21. Although she has had no formal art education, she took her first watercolor class in the early 1980's. The class met once a week for three months. She learned about paper and mixing in the class, but very little about painting. After that, she didn't take another class until 2004 - a drawing class at Main Street Arts in Starkville, followed by a watercolor class. She has taken other classes as well along the way, but has also learned a great deal by simply working on her art every day. She was first published in CP Hidden Treasures in December 2013. Her paintings often depict her husband's orchids. He will also be at the studio next Saturday to share his hobby with anyone who is interested.
