Press ReleaseStarkville Area Arts Council announces its AiPP Exhibit "Time On Our Hands," which features 32 works from local artists and inspired by or created during 2020-2021. An opening reception will take place July 8, 2021 at 5:30 pm in the Partnership lobby in downtown Starkville to celebrate this exhibit and these local artists. This hybrid exhibit will be on display for in-person viewing until September 13, 2021, in the lobby of the Partnership during business hours and subject to any mask and social distancing guidelines. It will also be available online on our website until further notice.
As part of SAAC's AiPP series, works may be listed for sale. SAAC collects and pays sales taxes on behalf of the artist for any work sold, and the artist keeps 80% of the proceeds. Other exhibits planned this year include artist Ralph Null and an open call for submissions to the Winter Showcase. #starkvillearts #AiPP #ArtInPublicPlaces #TimeOnOurHands Press Release Starkville Area Arts Council (SAAC) is excited to announce our Annual Drive & Meeting is set for June 24, 2021, at 6 pm, under the lights at 106 Lafayette at the old Holli's Sweet Tooth location. This event is FREE and OPEN to the public. At this annual event, SAAC briefly reports to the public on past activities, while connecting with existing and new donors and volunteers before the end of June. Current donors (at any level) are eligible to vote on business matters, including election of board members. Donors who have not yet donated or renewed this fiscal year (on or after July 1, 2020) can donate by check at the Drive or through the SAAC website (www.starkvillearts.net).
