STARKVILLE, MS -
Starkville Area Arts Council has set the date for the annual Cotton District Arts Festival in the historic Cotton District for Saturday, April 18, 2020. This will be the first time in several years that CDAF does not coincide with Super Bulldog Weekend, which is scheduled for April 9-11. However, #CDAF2020 will immediately follow the Starkville Main Street Association King Cotton Crawfish Bowl on Friday, April 17. “Based upon a publicly circulated survey, with Easter falling on April 12 and Double Decker on April 25, the only viable option for #CDAF2020 is the third weekend in April,” says Executive Director John Bateman. “The unanimous Committee decision to move CDAF considered our ever-increasing need for volunteers, requests from all of our vendors, and support from the community as a whole.” CDAF is an award-winning Starkville classic that allows artisans to compete, showcase, and sell their work. With more than 175 artisans competing for entry, admission to each year’s Festival has become more and more competitive. Sponsorships and volunteers are extremely critical to keep CDAF admission free for the public and booth fees among the lowest in the state. CDAF Sponsors provide $1,000 or more of financial support to the festival and a large number of other Supporters contribute to CDAF, making it a truly impressive event. If you would like to help support CDAF 2020, additional information on sponsors, sponsorships, and volunteers, can be found at www.cdafestival.com/sponsors--volunteers.html. #starkvillearts #CDAF2020 #CDAFestival |
