Have You Ever Seen the Rain?
Parrish - 16” x 20”. Barbara Parrish began her artistic journey as a musician, and came to visual arts at the age of fifty where she found a new voice. She paints from her experiences, mostly landscapes. She wants her work to be invitational, drawing viewers in until they share the experience or relates it to one of their own. She strives to keep her work loose and free of unnecessary detail. This leaves space for the imagination to explore and make connections. A line from Frost’s poem “The Pasture” says it best: “I shan’t be gone gone long—you come too.”
