The Creative Economy

According to the __________, the arts industry contributes more than $___ billion to the American economy each year. How? Consider the ripple effect of even a simple trip to the movies, hear a band, or head to the theatre: do you hire a babysitter? grab a bite to eat? gas up on the way?
  • Art in Public Places (exhibit series)
  • Business Skills Workshops (teaching artists to treat their art like a business)
  • Cotton District Arts Festival
SAAC budgets for these individually and relies heavily on sponsorships in order to host these events.
Art in Public Places
In 2018, we estimate that 200 children attended with their families. In 2019, the location was moved last minute to the Sportsplex. Despite the heavy wind and rain, we estimate 150 kids with their families attended.

Made possible entirely through volunteer contributions from the business community, these workshops (initiated in June 2018) explore a range of topics, including marketing, sales and income taxes, loans, websites, social media, and more. Sign up below for our Newsletter and stay tuned to this page for announcements.
